Warranty and Genuine products.
Unless otherwise stated, all products sold by CanadaRAM.com are covered by manufacturer's warranty, and CanadaRAM Ltd. is an authorized reseller.
Manufacturers' warranty detail:
For products other than RAM modules 1 year is the typical warranty, however warranty terms and conditions do vary by manufacturer and product. Warranties cover defects on materials and workmanship, they do not cover compatibility, installation issues, software installation or data loss.
We recommend that you back
up your data in full before installing any hardware or software. If
you are not confident installing hardware or software, please consult with a qualified technician. There are over 30,000 different models of computer; we cannot provide installation instructions for each specific machine.
You can find instructions in your owners manual or on your computer manufacturer's website, or on a Google web search. Answers to common computer questions are available at http://www.computer-answers.ca
Please email firstname.lastname@example.org with any warranty questions before returning products. You will be given instructions specific to the product and authorization to return. Warranty replacement procedures may require some diagnostic or testing steps, the customer agrees to carry out reasonable testing to identify whether products are in fact defective. If the buyer does not co-operate in testing, a fee will be assessed for testing of the products once they are returned. Non defective returns are subject to restocking charges. Other than our 10 day memory DOA policy (below) Warranty shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer. Un-authorized packages and freight-collect packages will be refused. Consult your computer owner's manual for installation instructions. Do not use tools such as pliers on RAM modules. Warranty coverage excludes any damage done by customer. All warranties are voided by modification to or abuse, damage or alteration of the product. Returned goods with damage (including freight damage from inadquate customer packaging) will not be accepted for refund or warranty and will be charged at full price. Warranty terms are for replacement by new or recertified equivalent product, not for refund or credit. In the case of an advance exchange, if the returned parts are not received at CanadaRAM within 15 days, the customer agrees to pay the full price for the replacement memory.
Definition of Manufacturer's Lifetime Warranty: Manufacturer's Lifetime Warranty is limited to the lifetime of the part in manufacturing. When a part has been discontinued by manufacturers, and remaining stocks have been depleted, repair or replacement cannot be made and the lifetime of that part is ended, consequently the warranty for that part is ended.
Goods are subject to the terms of the manufacturer's warranty. The address of the manufacturer's authorized return depot for warranty will vary by product. Shipping is the customer's responsibility. CanadaRAM does not provide over the counter exchange on manufacturer's warranty claims. There are no other warranties express or implied, and in no case will CanadaRAM Ltd. be liable for refund or replacement of goods outside of the manufacturer's warranty terms or in case of manufacturer non-fulfillment of their warranty.
Notice: Some types of RAM, including but not limited to the list below, have ended their life in manufacturing and the warranty period is ending. Warranty will be assessed on a case by case basis depending on the manufacturer's ability to supply replacement parts. If the manufacturer is unable to supply replacement parts, the warranty will be expired.
As a convenience, CanadaRAM handles warranty exchange for DMS Certified brand in Canada. Customer is responsible for shipping after the 10 day DOA replacement period.

Make sure to include the make and model of your machine, your full shippping address, phone number, correct email address, the number, expiry date and name on your credit card plus the card billing address and phone if different from shipping address. Payment accepted by VISA or Mastercard or Canadian bank Interac Email Transfer. It must be your credit card and the card billing address and shipping addresses must match. For your protection, we may ask for additional proof of ID to be faxed. Third party address shipments require faxed confirmation. Contact us for PayPal payment options, can be shipped to verified address only, shipping insurance is mandatory.

Shipping is via Xpress Post, Expedited Parcel, FedEx or Purolator at our choice. No PO Boxes for Purolator or FedEx. Please ensure that there is someone at the address during business hours to sign for the package. We do not guarantee delivery time. Shipping time and cost may be higher in NT, NU, YT or remote areas as defined by the courier. An invoice copy will be sent by email.
Shipping is at buyer's risk, Shipping insurance is 1.5% extra on the goods value or by quote - if declined, the buyer assumes all risk of loss or damage. Signature is required for insured parcels.
Installation: Goods are sold under the assumption that you have experience installing. Installation instructions for your specific machine are not included. Refer to your owner's manual or manufacturer's Web site. If you are not confident, please take your machine to a technician for installation. We are not responsible for any damage occuring during or after installation of purchased products, nor for any incidental or consequential damage or data loss arising from installation or use of purchased products.
