The information that you give us is used only for CanadaRAM business.

For your protection:

Your email, postal address and phone number will be used only for CanadaRAM business communications with you. We will not sell, rent or give your contact information to any third party, with these exeptions:

• Those third parties who are needed to conduct your transaction, (such as bank or charge card company, courier or shipping agent) will be given the minimum information neccessary to carry out their function pertaining to your order,
• We will respond to official legal requests for information (such as from law enforcement or the court),
• Any attempts to purchase goods by fraudulent means (including, but not limited to, using a stolen charge card, false identity, forged phone number, mailing address, email address or email header) nullifies our contract of privacy and WILL result in full and immediate reporting to banks, ISPs and law enforcement and other relevant authorities.

Email policy:

We do not send spam emails, nor do we hire third parties to do so. We may send individually addressed CanadaRAM business communications (such as order confirmations, price verifications, newsletters, price lists and availability lists) via email, postal mail and/or fax both to existing customers and to corporate, governmental and institutional purchasing departments. Any person or organization may have their address removed from our email, postal or fax database at no charge by written request to sales@canadaram.com or by mail to 488F Bay St Victoria BC Canada V8T 5H2.

Payment information:

No personal information or credit card information is retained on the CanadaRAM.com web server. The manual order form is SSL (Secure Socket Layer) protected while you are online with it, and the form results are 128-bit PGP encrypted for transmittal. The CanadaRAM shopping cart uses a third party bank-authorized payment processor, and charge card numbers are not transmitted to us. This shopping cart card processing is PCI compliant.

Your records of purchase and payment are kept at CanadaRAM offices for 7 years as required by law. These purchase records are accessible only by CanadaRAM staff and authorized accounting personnel. These records may be used at a later date for business purposes pertaining to your transaction (such as accounting reporting, warranty replacement or collection of debts).

Security of transmission:

No company can guarantee security of email transmissions; the information that you include on unencrypted emails sent to us, and in emails we send to you, are at risk of being misdirected or potentially intercepted by others. CanadaRAM Ltd. makes no representation as to the privacy or security of unencrypted emails sent through the public internet. We advise you not to send charge card information by unencrypted email.

Shipping:

We normally ship by Canada Post Xpress or Xpedited Post, or by FedEx or Purolator courier, with tracking numbers. XpressPost and Expedited Post shipments are normally sent without signature required, a signature can be requested on the order. Packages are trackable up to the point they have been scanned for delivery. Couriers do not ask for ID on delivery or verify that the delivery address given matches the customer name. CanadaRAM assumes no responsibility for the package beyond the point that it has been scanned as delivered or has been signed for on delivery, nor for misdelivery due to errors in the address provided by the buyer. The invoice information in the package, possibly including personal address and payment information, is potentially viewable by unknown parties if the package is stolen while in transit or misdirected.

Packages are sent uninsured, at the buyer's risk. Freight insurance is available at 1.5% extra on the goods total or by quotation for special cases, and will not be added unless you request it. Your receipts will be sent in PDF form by email. No shipping to PO Boxes or General Delivery post office addresses for FedEx or Purolator shipments, PO Boxes, RR and Gen Del are OK for uninsured Xpress Post and Expedited Post.
